Monday Night – November 10th, 2008 - United Kingdom
Show Opening:
[The show opens with footage of last weeks Steel Cage match]
Batista comes to the ring to start the show. He says he isn’t here to whine and cry about last week, he is here to invoke his rematch clause. He says he came here tonight to win back the WHT and that’s what he’s going to do.
Stephanie McMahon appears on the screen from WWE HQ. She says that unfortunately it isn’t possible for him to invoke his clause tonight. He says that her brother made it very clear that the winner of last weeks Cage match would face John Cena at Survivor Series, and therefore he will take on World Champion Chris Jericho. She says GM Adamle resigned last week, and that as such this is the dawning of a new era here on RAW. She says that she and Shane would like to put a stamp of finality on some long standing issues. As such, tonight Kane will face Rey Mysterio in a No-Disqualification match. Also for the final time, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho will take on Shawn Michaels…… in a Last Man Standing match. She thanks us for our time, and thanks Batista for being so understanding.
[Randy Orton’s music hits and he comes to the ring]
He says he just wanted to let Batista know that when it comes to the title shot, he’s going to have to wait in line. He says that John Cena gets his opportunity at Survivor Series, but then its his turn because he is better than Batista and always has been. He says that 4 years ago he was kicked out of Evolution because he was better then them. He says Batista couldn’t beat him then and he can’t beat him now, therefore if anyone deserves a title shot, it’s him and not Batista. [The fans chant RKO] He says that he just wants to let Randy know that history is written by winner and that if you look at their history, he has been better than Randy in every shape and form. He was better than Randy in Evolution and he’s better then him now. He then challenges Orton to a match to settle this thing once and for all. He says that the answer is yes, but he should know that when he wins the title back he’s going to remain champion a lot longer then eight days. Batista then grabs him and goes for a Batista Bomb but Orton escapes and leaves.

[When then see footage of John Cena’s premiere on RAW, as part of a promo for his return]
Jericho comes to the stage without music. He says that it’s a heartwarming story, but he wants to tell him another story, the Batista story. He says that Batista was the man that put Cena out of action and the man that Jericho beat in a Cage match last week. He says that then he can tell him the story of Shawn Michaels. That’s the one where he exposed HBK and all his fans for the liars, cheaters, and hypocrites they are and then drove his head through a television monitor. Then, he upped the ante by punching HBK’s wife in the mouth, accidentally, which he may make light of now, but that’s because it’s the only way he can deal with the fact that it eats him up inside. He says that tonight is the Last Man Standing match, the last chapter in the sad story of Shawn Michaels. He says that Cena should pay attention, because he is going to meet the same fate as HBK. He says that Cena is just coming back from a major injury, which means his chances aren’t good.
